Privacy policy

In plain words

We collect what we need to call you back and do the job, and we never sell it. This website also measures visits with Google Analytics 4 and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which use cookies. The sections below explain what that means and how to turn it off.

Who runs this website

Keys On Wheels, a mobile locksmith based in Meridian, Idaho. For questions about this policy, call (208) 629-0482 or email KeysOnWheelsMeridian@gmail.com.

What you tell us

On a call, in the callback form or in the booking form you give us your name and number, what kind of help you need and, depending on the form and what you choose to add, where the car or property is, when you would like the visit, the vehicle’s year, make and model, and notes about the job.

What our server notes

Each form request also carries a few details our server adds: the page it was sent from, an approximate city and region, and the internet (IP) address. They help us block spam and repeated fake requests. Cloudflare, the company that hosts this website, keeps technical server records for security and to keep the site running.

Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel

This website uses Google Analytics 4, from Google, and the Meta Pixel, from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. They count visits, show which pages get read, and record when someone taps a call button or sends the callback or booking form. That tells us which pages and ads actually help people.

To do this, they set cookies or use similar storage in your browser, and they send details about your visit to Google and Meta: the pages you view, the link or ad that brought you here, your device and browser type, an approximate location and your IP address. Google and Meta handle that data under their own privacy policies, and Meta may use it to show ads, ours included, on Facebook and Instagram.

How to block these cookies

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings, and private or incognito windows clear them when you close them. Google offers a free browser add-on that stops Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits. On Facebook and Instagram, the ad preferences in your account settings let you limit ads based on what you do on other websites. Ad-blocking browser extensions can stop both tools as well.

With these cookies blocked, the phone number, the forms and every page still work.

What your details are for

Calling you back, explaining the price, finding the car or property, doing the work and keeping our own job records. We never sell or rent your details to anyone.

Who sees a request

Form requests travel through a private business messaging app to the people who answer our calls and do the jobs. Apart from that, we share information only when the law requires it.

ID and ownership papers

At the vehicle or door, the locksmith checks your photo ID and ownership papers before starting. This website never asks you to upload them.

Keeping records

We hold on to job records for as long as the job, any later questions from you and our tax filings need them. How long Google and Meta keep analytics data depends on their own settings and policies.

Your choices

Call (208) 629-0482 or email KeysOnWheelsMeridian@gmail.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
