A locksmith that comes to the car
Keys On Wheels is a mobile locksmith based in Meridian, Idaho. There is no shop to visit: the work happens where your car, home or business is.

What we do
Most calls are about cars: a new key when every key is lost, a spare before the only key fails, a fob that stopped answering, keys locked inside, a key snapped in the door, or an ignition that will not turn.
This site is sorted by the key in your hand and by what happened, not by car brand, because that is how the problem looks from the driveway. Start with your key type or see every service.
Home and business locks are part of the work too: lockouts, rekeying after a move, lock changes and repairs, deadbolts and smart locks, and, for businesses, master keying and high-security locks.
What travels in the service vehicle
A key cutting machine, key blanks and programming tools. That is what lets a key be cut and programmed at the car instead of after a tow.
How a job goes
- You call and describe the vehicle (year, make, model), where it sits and what happened.
- The price is explained on the phone before anyone drives out.
- The key is cut and programmed at the car: in the driveway, the work lot or the parking lot. No tow.
- If something different turns up at the car, such as a worn ignition, you hear the new price before any extra work.
- Before we pack up, each key and every button is tried with you.
Proof comes first
- Vehicle: your photo ID, along with the registration or title.
- Home: a photo ID plus proof of the address, such as an ID showing it, a lease or a utility bill.
- Business: proof that you are authorized to approve the work.
- It protects you: nobody else can ask us for a key to your car or a way into your home.
Real jobs, photographed at the car
Each photo comes from a job and was taken next to the customer's vehicle. License plates and house numbers are blurred.
